The pickpocket eventually reached the bridge. There were unusual strands of dead grass perking out of the pathway. He couldn't help but to notice a beautiful, bright orange flower perched upon the edge of the bridge. He couldn't help himself. He just had to pick it. And so he did.
As he twiddled the stalk of the flower in between his fingers, the pickpocket thought to himself, "I bet my wife would love and treasure this flower. After all, her favourite colour is orange." he kept hold of it in his hand for now, obviously not his pick-pocketing hand, for he may need to use his special talent later on. When the pickpocket got to the end of the bridge, he realised that the carnival was a lot bigger than he had thought. He looked around himself and saw loads of wonderful, multicoloured tents, full of various things such as; glittering jewellery, delicious foods, comfortable furniture, and luscious, clean clothes.
As the pickpocket made his way deeper into the tent filled carnival, he caught sight of an old, wrinkly woman holding a shimmering glass ball in her hands. She gave the pickpocket a mysterious look, so he wandered closer to the strange woman. Then she started to speak and said, "have a seat, dear." the pickpocket did take a seat on a purple, velvet chair. "How can I help you, my love?" asked the woman.
"Well. My son, he has just been born, however, his hand is shaped as if he is about to punch somebody, and his right arm pressed against his chest, like this." said the pickpocket as he clenched his fist and put his arm up to his chest. "He must be healed." Then the woman asked,"And, tell me darling, why do you want your son to be cured?"
"I am afraid I can not tell you that." the pickpocket said.
"Anyway, I do have this magnificent crystal ball, If you have not noticed it already. All you must do is hold it in your hands, and wish. Wish your son could be healed within a day." The pickpocket did so.
The woman then asked,"Is there anything else I can do for you, sweetie?"
The pickpocket replied, "No. Thank you ever so much. I shall travel home and see my child well."
"Yes, you will." promised the woman.
